Senior Full Stack Engineer (React + Ruby on Rails + Postgres)

Job Description
We are looking for a full-stack developer with experience in full-stack development.
 

Our web application is currently a hybrid of React components and server-rendered Ruby templates. Although the backend is written in Ruby, we are open to applications from talented engineers who may not have extensive Ruby experience if they are interested and driven to learn the language.
In this role, you will work closely with our CTO to brainstorm, develop, and test new features. Creativity in problem solving approaches is important to us, so often the engineering team may receive a generic feature request and it is up to the team to come up with the best solution to the business problem at hand.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
● Apply content knowledge and relevant expertise to projects
● Feature implementation, bug fixes, and testing
● Requirements gathering
● Willingness to implement a feature from end-to-end

Qualifications
● 4+ years development experience
● 2+ years React experience
● 2+ years relational database experience
● 2+ years backend (Ruby, Node, etc) development experience
● Education experience desired but not required
● Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
● Willingness and interest in learning new technologies
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills
● Ability to adapt in a changing environment
● Positive, team-oriented attitude
● Strong problem-solving skills
